Olney, IL

I moved to Olney, IL right after high school. Olney is a small town just 25 miles east from where I grew up. I was working for the Sheriffs Dept there when I met my hubby. No.........not an inmate, but a Jailer. It was a lifetime ago over 26 years now. My hubby grew up in the boonies even further out than I did. Berryville, IL..........more on that in another post.
The first and second pix are of the old bank building, the bottom floor is a lawyers office the top floor is apartments. 27 years ago, two girl friends and I had the front apartment. It was huge, a far cry from our first apartment that was two rooms and a shared bath. lol....

I like the scene with the pizza sign. Maybe because I love pizza!

Very nice, Dana! I believe the old bank building is where my grandfather, Earl King, worked many years ago. My folks were living in Olney when I was born (mid-1950's). Dad had to take Mom over to Lawrenceville to have me because (from what I was told) the hospital in Olney didn't have a maternity ward at the time!

Coincidentally, looks like we both wound up in Texas.
